“Paradise Found” Opens at the Irvine Museum

On June 21, The Irvine Museum held an exclusive opening night reception for its summer exhibit, “Paradise Found: Summer in California.” The museum’s highest-level donors gathered among the paintings for a taste of Champagne, hors d’oeuvres and classic California, as well as a speech by the museum’s president, James Swinden. The exhibit, which celebrates California’s scenic beauty as seen by 20th century California Impressionists, will be on display through Sept. 20. Featuring picturesque views of California landmarks, the exhibit takes viewers on a fast-paced trip through San Diego, Palm Springs, Yosemite Park, Laguna Beach and other coastal communities. —Caroline Hatano
