The St. Regis Monarch Beach
Actress Tori Spelling, along with husband Dean McDermott and their four children, co-hosted the 12th Annual Sand Sculpture Dedication and Tree Lighting Ceremony held at The St. Regis Monarch Beach on Nov. 25. The family had the honor of lighting the St. Regis Christmas tree, which has been an ongoing tradition for guests and Orange County locals alike. Also, for the first time, all proceeds from the raffle held during the event went toward the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help children with life-threatening medical conditions. This year’s grand sand sculpture, designed by Thomas Koet and Jill Harris of Sandsational Sand Sculpting in Melbourne, Fla., was inspired by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and featured a wishing well. The magnificent sculpture was constructed in just five days using nine tons of sand and 100 gallons of water. —A.T.
