The J. F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center held its annual fundraising gala, “The Art of Shea – Performance in Motion,” at Montage Laguna Beach May 18. The sold-out event attended by 450 guests included a silent auction, handcrafted gourmet dinner, presentations, live music and entertainment, and dancing. The nonprofit J. F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center’s mission is to improve the lives of people with disabilities through therapeutic horse-related programs, and the event raised more than $550,000 toward the cause. —M.M.
