Monarch Beach Event

More than 2,000 locals visited The St. Regis Monarch Beach on Nov. 27 for its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony and sand sculpture dedication. Guests enjoyed viewing the whimsical 9-ton sand sculpture, which depicts a holiday scene of Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as seeing the lighting of a 35-foot Christmas tree and taking the kids for pictures with Santa.

The event also featured a charitable component benefitting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, and the resort collected over $600 in monetary donations plus more than 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food items.

Elisabeth Rohm served as this year’s celebrity host. “This was my first year hosting this extraordinary event, but the welcome and warmth surrounding the resort at this time of year is overwhelmingly delightful,” she says.
