The Pet Rescue Center’s Fourth Annual Providing Shelter Benefit

Raises Funds for Pets in Need
The Pet Rescue Center (PRC) held its fourth annual Providing Shelter Benefit Nov. 3 at Rosa’s Cantina in Olamendi’s Laguna Beach, where guests enjoyed appetizers, desserts, drinks, live music, a live painting demonstration and silent auction. The event raised funds for The PRC’s “Rescue-Rehab-Rehome” program. “More than 10,000 dogs and cats are euthanized in our nation each day. This is an issue that needs our attention, our activism and our intervention in each community,” says Blythe Wheaton, executive director of the center. “The Pet Rescue Center strives to take in as many cases as possible from across California by working cooperatively with shelters, veterinarians and other rescue groups to identify critical needs and to provide care and resources. There is always more to be done though and with the help of our supporters we will do all we can.” —M.M.
