Second Annual Laguna Style Event at Montage Laguna Beach Raises Funds for SchoolPower and Laguna Playhouse
Ready-to-wear fashion rocked the runway on Oct. 13 at Montage Laguna Beach when Firebrand Media Inc. hosted its second annual Laguna Style event, benefitting the Laguna Playhouse and SchoolPower, a nonprofit that supports public schools in Laguna Beach. The evening felt majestic as guests gathered at the courtyard entrance to bid on items up for silent auction as well as preview some of the featured fashions, as models stood on platforms showing off exquisite jewelry and clothing provided by South Coast Plaza’s luxury retailers, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Mikimoto and Max Mara. There was also a reception of appetizers, including mini sliders and an array of cheeses and fruits, by the chefs at Montage Laguna Beach. Handcrafted cocktails from Altamar Brands were made to guests’ whim and fancy, and wine was provided by The Wine Gallery. Afterward, guests were led into the ballroom to view a stunning runway show, which started with a dramatic and elegant showcase of lingerie by La Perla, and then featured designs by Mikimoto, Max Mara and Saks Fifth Avenue. —A.T.
