LBCF annual awards ceremony

The Laguna Beach Community Foundation (LBCF) held its second annual awards ceremony on Dec.1, giving $140,550 to 27 nonprofits based in Laguna Beach or serving its residents.

The event was attended by 90 guests and held at the beautiful hilltop home of Don Clurman, LBCF trustee. Guests enjoyed a lavish dessert bar, cider, lemonade and amazing views before the ceremony got underway.

Grant recipients included the Boys and Girls Clubs, Crystal Cove Alliance, Friendship Shelter, Laguna Art Museum, Laguna Beach Alliance for the Arts, Laguna Beach Community Clinic, Laguna Beach Historical Society, Laguna Beach Live, Laguna Beach Seniors, Laguna Greenbelt, Pacific Marine Mammal Center and others.

“The success of our annual grants program starts with our donor partners,” explains Laura Tarbox, chair of the LBCF board of trustees. “This year we were able to increase the grant award total because of the generosity of [our contributors].” —Micaela Myers
